The Elephant King loved foals, that was a well known and accepted fact by him—and likely by all those who met him. And, upon accepting the Nightwind into the Edge, he assumed that he found an equally foal-friendly soul with how the man was not often seen without his twin children. It made a broad smile cross the King’s lips when he saw such things. Thus, there was no question who he sought out when the idea to indulge the vast number of younglings popped into his mind.
And the man was already there, lingering near the lilac canopy, as the Elephant King stepped on the thick layer of pristine white snow that blanketed the clearing, Mbwene trundling in tow. She wasn’t entirely sold on snow, but it was fun to roll into balls and pelt at her bonded (or the unsuspecting Chico). Though any thoughts of throwing snowballs was wiped from her mind by a sharp flick of the King’s tail and (more likely) by her bright blue gaze landing on Lucius. She trumpeted a greeting, trotting directly up to the dark, wing stallion and his equally dark, winged companion.
The King halted alongside the Nightwind, an amused grin crossing his face at Mbwene’s antics, “Good morning Mesec, Lucius,” his heavy horn dipped slightly in greeting to each in turn. He then rose onto his haunches, coming down heavily with both forelimbs, trumpeting loudly as the earth quaked beneath him, “Foals, come!”
He then grinned, slightly apologetic, as he realized his close proximity to the other during his loud yell, before saying, “This will be fun.” His grin broadened across his pale muzzle as Mbwene shuffled around in the snow, trunk raised invitingly towards the dark zephyr.
