Ears twitched at the overly pleasant, happy words and accompanying smile the filly with pearls gave him. He was… intrigued. It was a strange sensation, as it was a singular emotion; one that did not revolve around or get shared with his other half.
Though he was quickly reminded of his twin as Maude called him ‘Kiada’s brother.’ His head dipped quickly in acknowledgement, not wanting to delve back into the loneliness that had been his disappearance.
And he was not left long to investigate this filly; nor was he left to relive his desolation in his self-perpetuated abandonment. Because there were talons, claws, and feathers raining from the sky. Instead of thunder, there were shrieks; instead of lightning, there were glints of sun on beaks.
But what drew the colt’s attention was the shout he knew—one of angry fear. His bright blue eyes sharpened on the white, spotted mother griffin and the precious cargo he loved so dear that flailed and flamed in her talons. “LET HER GO!” Was his shocking loud and deep shout—so like his sire’s. Ash flooded from his chest, dark and writhing; filled with infuriated hyena jaws that snapped ferociously.
He paid no mind to the flailing lavender tarp alongside him. He was too consumed by the fear that filled his dark chest.
