You think I'll be the dark sky
She still couldn’t understand the appeal in the griffin, but she wasn’t one to argue with the colt whose mind was set on getting one. And so she continued with her own little game instead, hooking her curved horn against his bull-shaped ones and pulling him closer to her with a brilliant smirk against her lips. And then, she was off. Kicking up the snow as her dark hooves raced across the Steppe, figuring that her longer legs might have given her a better shot at gathering more distance that Arakh wouldn’t be able to catch up.

Oh, how she was wrong. She didn’t take into account his mighty wings, soaring him into the sky above her as she began to feel heat radiating near her ankles. Turning her dark head slightly as she ran, she noticed two fiery creatures trying to nip at her heels. A whinny of delight from the destruction they both seemed to leave escaped her maw in the form of a laugh, her determination growing stronger as she began to feel the heat and singed hairs on her fetlocks. She focused harder now, deepening her gallop as she pulled her body along, tossing her head in the air up at Arakh as a wide grin spread across her lips.

A snow bluff came into view, and she continued to run full speed at it, not calculating what kind of things could be on the other side. She reached the edge of it before jumping over it, gaining air and speed as sweat began to bead along her pelt, darkening her golden pelt. When she landed on the other side, her hooves clicked against a thick sheet of ice before sending her sliding across the side of a small hill. She couldn’t stop, regardless of how hard she tried to stop the slide, and when she reached the edge of the sleet where the snow had begun to grow hard again, her speed and trajectory caused her to roll a few feet.

At first, the flames along her back sparked with snakes, but soon was overcome by otters, swimming around along the snow as she laid on her side. A giggle escaped her lips as Khairi swooped to a nearby tree, his beady red eyes making sure his bonded was alright. Kiada was fine; a ltitle shaken up perhaps, but oh was it entertaining. “Did you see that?” She laughed, sitting up slightly, though still remaining on the ground if Arakh chose to approach her, her blue gaze aiming to land on the dark handsome colt.

"Talk."

I'll swallow you whole.

IT'S SAID SHE'S MADE OF STORM CELLS
AND A WILD WOLF'S HUNGRY HEART,
THAT SHE'S LEARNT THE LIGHTNING'S SECRET
TO RIPPING DARKENED SKIES APART.
