Just as he had begun to allow himself to relax on the ground, stretching his neck out with a content little sound, he discovered he wasn't alone. Fuck. Getting up was always a slow process for the heavy horse with shorter then proportional legs. He laid his ears back on his large skull and peered as menacingly as he could towards the incoming figure. They definitely had the upper hand, with he on the ground, struggling to get his feet underneath him. With a final Goliath effort he managed to heave himself onto all four hooves. He cursed himself for not being watchful- but, he thought as he looked over the newcomer, at least it was a mare.

He didn't particularly enjoy the company of mares, nor anyone, but at least they tended to be less aggressive then other stallions. Usually they were also smaller and slighter. This one proved to be considerably smaller then the 16.3 brute, which made him relax a tad. He could not help but feel a hot sweep of embarrassment that she had watched him struggle, which in turn made him quite angry. His tail whipped angrily against his multi-hued rump, and his neck arched as he walked a few steps closer. She was yet another oddly coloured horse that made him feel awfully dull in comparison- a golden coat that gleamed, with blue tips, a similar pattern to his own but much, much more striking.

The stag couldn't help but feel so resentful towards all these pretty horses, and that weakness irked him greatly. Why should it matter that he wasn't a shining visage? It wasn't like he wanted to be with anyone other then himself. Perhaps it was envy? Secretly, he had always blamed his misfortunes on his lack of impressive image. If he had a coat like that... He shrugged the thought off as nonsense. His head had been messing with him of late. The brutes flat yellow eyes scanned over her wings absent-mindedly. There wasn't a particular species that had been any kinder to him then the rest, and thus, his prejudices were none (or all). Nero was under the impression they were all pretty much the same in their core, regardless of whatever extra appendages they carried.

Nero was unsure how to deal with all these conversations. Ninety percent of him screamed to scare her away, which he was sure wouldn't be too difficult, but that ten percent wondered if his aggression was going to become extremely tedious, what with how many horses there were around. So far no one had actually tried to harm him, which was miracle in itself, and he wondered if this lack of aggression was due to such a highly populated terrain. He guessed there was no point in being territorial when it would lead to so many fights, so often. That was something he was going to have to ponder on. With this new concept in the forefront of his brain, the stag stood a somewhat friendly distance away. His pins were still against his neck, but other then appearing grumpy, Nero's body language was neutral. "Nero. Why are you here?" His tone was flat, and not particularly welcoming, but not threatening, either.
