The singing birds called in the arrival of Birdsong, like a sigh of relief from winters grip, but the air was still cool when the playful wind picked up the dark strands of Sacre’s mane as he wandered through the Threshold. It had been a while since he had last visited the doorway to Helovia, before he seemed to be here all the time, but after a short break he was back again looking for strangers and old faces alike. Recently his mind had been pre-occupied since hearing recently about his brother, that Roux had joined the Worlds Edge, that he too was a Nurse, but at the healers meeting he never showed up. A worried frown was becoming common on Sacre's features these days as he worried over his lost brother, if he was okay, despite the arrow in his tail that hadn't glowed at all... Maybe it wasn't working anymore... How would he know? He trusted his instincts that told him his twin was okay, he wasn't ill, he was alive and safe, but now and then he caught himself over thinking with stress lining his young face.

He tried his best to take his mind of it, watching his foxes dancing through the woodland, Ríona had bloomed like a flower with the coming of Birdsong, much happier that the cold was finally on its way out. Inari still hovered near Sacre, his oldest fox by far the more protective, though he bounced off here and there when scent of a prey was nearby—food the great tempter.

As they travelled Sacre began to make out a pond and the shape of somebody near it, eager to dispel his haunting thoughts, the fox-boy trotted over towards the burningly red stallion. He had a white dog with him and was faintly familiar, though Sacre couldn't decide whether he was reminded more of his father or whether he really had seen this ruby horned lad before in his past. Noticing the pinned ears, Sacre cautiously kept his distance, his usual silly happy smile plastering his face as his blue eyes sparkled. "Hey! Have we met before?" he asked curiously, wondering if this friend might remember him and so spark Sacre's memory. Inari and Ríona, meanwhile, approached the dog with prudence, but with the same neighbourly personality as their audacious bonded.

"Either way, I'm Sacre" he bobbed his head before continuing "what brings you to the Threshold?"

there's something tragic about you
something so magic about you
