BACCHUS
the good guys never win

To his credit, immediately after the ice princess' reprimand Bacchus fully and totally ignored the metal beast of servitude at the beautiful filly's side. Of course, that was not to say the naturally anxious and nervous stallion simply became unafraid- he adapted to the conditions, and so Bacchus hid the fear, pushed it down deep somewhere inside. Snö was his master, and the obedient dog would do whatever he could to please the mare. When she stripped him of his name and called him 'Rapha', the dun didn't resist. It was, at the very least, better than 'Maggot', a crude name given to him by Loki in a drunken fit of rage. When Snö began to lecture him on the strength of unicorns, he kept his head respectfully tilted down.

"Of course, my lady. I am sworn to you. Every horse should know his place is under the fine unicorns." It is a little sad, to see Bacchus' complete belief in this statement. The boy really did believe his words. No matter what he thought, he would carry out his services, uncomplaining, even unspeaking. He was more than a robot, of course, unlike maybe Monster, not that Bacchus would know of the black unicorn. The snow lifted, ice flickering across the Frostbreath Steppe. It was a desolate stronghold, but it was a fort. One could see another from many leagues away. When the exquisite black mare appeared, made a show of ignoring Bacchus, or Rapha, he remained humbly behind his princess. Eyes lowered, ears angled back, head held delicately downwards.

He was a slave. It was normal to him.
