Thèo wished that he was allowed to have a key to the bridge. He knew that they were reserved for those higher up on the herd - and in age - but nevertheless, each time he saw someone waiting patiently at the gates, he always felt a shiver of disappointment, as if it was he personally who was causing their delay.

The least he could do is keep them company.

Gliding on wings of grey-dove feathers, the sun-lit boy glided over the water and towards where Pippigrin stood. Due to the distance between them, Thèo had originally thought that Pip only appeared small, but as he neared, the stallion only grew slightly in height. He was the smallest adult Thèo had ever seen! Rather than inspiring a feeling of superiority or a desire to mock, Thèo was instead delighted. A smile lit up his boyish features as he flew rapidly towards the winged man, lowering himself onto the sands with a wide and youthful smile.

"Hallo!" He called brightly. Sunlight filtered down from the clouds, settling and falling against his ashen body. "I don't have a key but-" The boy stopped, chomping down on his words. The greyish man before him was small, but he still had wings didn't he? Thèo's grin reappeared.
"-but you don't even need that. We can fly over!"
