Quentin might have been surprised, but not nearly as much as Amaris was at the warm reception to her presence. The dragonmare was so used to being stared at with scorn and pre-judgement - to be welcomed so readily with a smile and kind exclamation was something she had not been expecting, and yet, she welcomed it wholeheartedly. A warm smile softened the scaled edges of her façade, as she purred in response, "I am Amaris, and that is Dramyrth."
She indicated her golden companion, but did not mention the curious little black soul who blended with his surroundings so well. He was like a shadow-spirit, dark and unnoticeable, observing quietly from the shadows cast by Amaris' own body. It was then that she heard a song being sung, and she turned her crown and sought out the source, curious as to the cause of the musical tune. Amusement glittered behind her eyes as this new young belle arrived and stumbled over her astonishment, seemingly at both Amaris and Quentin's existence. "Hello," she purred softly, kindly, in response to Maude's introduction. "I am Amaris," she repeated, not bothering to introduce Dramyrth again for the time being (he was busily preening himself in front of Quentin anyway).
"It is a pleasure to meet you both," she added in her soft, musical voice, her draconic lilt adding an exotic flavour to her simple words. "I've only just returned to Helovia from a recent trip - tell me; how does one stay cool in TallSun these days?"
