AELFWINE
If Aelfwine was being totally honest, she didn’t even care if the small otter had peed herself on her head. It was just one thing of the many that happened, and she didn’t blame the small pup for such a horrifying event. Though Aelfwine was pleased to see everyone target and attack the giant ebony scaled drake, and thankful for the help that Wessex provided with trying to keep the children protected, she offers the mare a small smile. Yet the scene unfolded quickly before the dappled doe’s eyes, watching as the dragon begins to die and shift into a scene of smoke and mirrors, so it seemed. The once gilded Pegasus, now a silver dragon, and Weaver, now a raven, both having a role in protecting the little otter family, that Aelfwine felt compelled to thank them for their significant help. But then, the dragon is nothing more and the egg slips from its claws, falling gently into the river and bounding through the waters. Until it landed nearby the doe. Immediately, her emerald gaze moves toward the egg, and before she can actually get her cloven hooves moving, the otter pups head toward it and begin pushing it to her. Immediately, Aelfwine grinned to the little family, lowering her head to grab the egg with a soft blow of her breath over the otter pups before they begin to thank everyone else and leave. Curiously, Aelfwine grips the egg tenderly and begins to set out on her own, doing her best to remember the faces of this day and how she could thank them upon another time. For now, she needed to figure out how to transport the egg safely, as well as tend to her wounds. "Talk." this storm cannot erode you, for you're more than blood and bone. |
