From afar she can hear his gravelly voice. Low and heavy, as it bounces and wrestles to her ears. An air of hesitancy nearly pulls her back, but before she can stop herself – Ru’s limbs start up in a free and easy run.

The mists obscure most of the lands, and makes for an adrenaline inducing jaunt. Trees are nearly avoided, as are bushes and fallen logs, rocks and mounds. The heat is insulating in this dense fog, that Ru’s thin skin begins to drip and roll with sweat and moisture.

Thankfully she is not too far. It takes a moment to grasp the tawny figure, swaddled in the layers of mist, that seem to swirl with every wing pulsed out into the open. She’s surprised that he’s so big, large for one who carries wings. Ru wonders briefly if she might outmatch him in the skies, but it’s hard to say without actually spying him in the air. Perhaps he is more of a glider, than a death diver.

A subdued, however audible coo reaches out to the behemoth. White feather crests unfurling with interest, as she searches those red-rimmed eyes. The fellow appears restless, the way he snaps his wings the way he does. With slight caution, the young warrior enters his sphere at a comfortable distance.

Settling ahead of him, she wonders just how far she can get with her request. With a long and steady inhale of thick warm air, she exhales only with slight trepidation curling behind her coral eyes.
