Before I know it, I'm being invited to follow her and I do so without reservation. Her voice rises up like feathers: "shall we?" "Oh, we so shall," I answer with verve, tossing my tail. Like I said earlier, I could care less where I'm going. I just need to go.

But all in all, the Basin sounds cool. If there's really an affinity for unicorns there, like Weaver said, then I'm more than willing to be showered in any affections my presence might provoke. Bring it on, I think, just as Weaver's gesturing for me to follow. I lift my head a little and grin, trotting after her and then matching her pace so that I can stroll alongside her.

During the journey, she tells me a little bit about the Basin and I interject with my own quips when I can. The walk takes a while, but I can't complain. When the air begins to cool and my leg muscles begin to ache, that's when we arrive. Mountains loom around the area, all quiet and imposing, and there's these wicked-looking metal things scattered around. I pause on occasion to glance around, but I mostly stick with Weaver.

Soon, she leads me to a gaping pool of water, steam rising up from a crystal-blue surface. "A bath for you, dirty stranger?" I've never been in a hot spring before, but there's a first for everything. "If you insist," I say with a grin before leaving her side and wading into the water, slowly at first and then all at once.

The water's hot against my skin, but it feels amazing. Steam rises all around me. It soothes my muscles and I give a relaxed sigh before turning my head back to my escort. "God damn, you are quite the host. This feels great," I comment sincerely, sinking a little further into the water. Little bubbles tickle my skin and I close my eyes for a second, letting the water pull the exhaustion right out of my bones. I could stay in here allllll day. I look at Weaver expectantly. "Come on, sweetheart, I'm not the only one who's dirty."
