Mortuus is quiet at all this, and somehow Weaver isn’t entirely surprised. He strikes her as the type that likes poisons but totally won’t admit it. Aka the type that likes fun but tries to pretend otherwise. It’s easy to fall down the rabbit hole, after all. Weaver doesn’t because her life is the entire rabbit hole. She fights for a living, takes drugs and long hot baths because her body is usually a collection of cuts and bruises and pain anyway. So might as well mask all that somehow.
She can’t help but wonder what his story is though. Part of her wants to get to know the black demon better, wants to snag him all to herself one day and ask entirely too personal, no-holds-barred type questions. See if he would answer, or just give her one of the poisons she doesn’t yet know about and watch her die of it.
But now is not that time. Not with Rhodoc here and the steam and the wonderful hot tub. She laughs as Rhodoc encourages Mortuus to join them, threatening not to bite too hard. “He might be worried about my bite,” she says with a teasing grin. Though to be fair, she's a solider, and she totally bites hard.
Raven, for his part, is currently glower at her from a nearby tree. He hates the hot springs, and never wants much to do with them. She looks at him and tries to convey blue plant except they can’t speak yet, so it may or may not work. But he seems to figure out she wants something, because he’s gone, glad for the excuse to get away from the hot spring. When the bird returns, he has actually managed to find the blue plant that Mortuus had shown Albretcht. Raven dumps it unceremoniously in the water between then, before returning to his perch on the tree as far away as possible.
“I cheated,” she says with a teasing grin, before pushing the blue plant in Rhodoc’s way. “If you’d like.”
