The doctor had had quite enough of standing on the sidelines, watching life pass him by. Maude had grown up right before his eyes and all he had done was sway in the background, making it harder for her to be happy, and the longer he existed with the mindset that life was something that happened to you, he was a stallion treading through the thickest, most vile waters. How long before he was pulled under? Tilney needed oxygen, he needed clarity. He needed his sons and he needed their safety guaranteed, not questioned or assumed under an incompetent amazonian of a mother with a warped idea of love and family.
Tilney's good opinion once lost was one lost forever. When the dirt turned to sand, that was when Tilney knew he would be near his boys. The grass had turned from a minty green to the colour of wilted straw, the sand beneath hardly holding it into place as he tread over it. With enough supplies to last him a number of days, Tilney made his way to a familiar set of caves to make his camp. The twins could be anywhere out here, anywhere at all, and so a central point to make camp would make searching for them all the easier. With Peatree keeping watch fro ma small post above the heart, Tilney lay out his cloak, lantern and herbs in the first room of the caves, the room which would be his accommodation for his week's adventure in the south. With the moon taking the sun's place overhea,d the stars ruling the sky, Tilney settled into his place over his cloak. Questions filled his mind, wondering if they would even like to come with him, or if they had grown too used to their primal ways. Could they still love him? What did Jude look like? Would they recognise him? Would Maude still love them? Craning his head downwards beside his lantern, The flaxen stag closed his eyes, the heat of his beloved star warming his face as he drifted off into sleep. @Byron @Jude TILNEY HAS COME TO GET THE BOYS !!!!!!
