After meeting Isopia, the girl moved on. Khairi took to the skies once more, a Kingly creature in his duties to make sure his bonded was safe along her travels. Her dark inky legs struck the earth as she picked up her speed, beginning to run through the labyrinth, trying her best to recollect the day Kianzo and her had found their companions. The day was much unlike this one, with storms ravaging and shrieking in ferocity that even Kiada was nervous of at first. But she had Kianzo back then, someone to relate to and experience things with. It was different now. She trudged along with Khairi, the pale ravenous vulture with crimson eyes that scanned the earth in a gloomy, hauntingly pinpoint manner. Even though she loved the bird, it was still different from having her twin alongside her.

As she ran and tried to replicate what occurred that day many seasons ago, the flames along her back began to shift into elephants as the sadness overcame her emotions. Her blue gaze beginning to glimmer with a melancholy gleam. Sweat began to bead along her neck and back, turning her dark gilded pelt into a bronze hue, her inky head growing even darker in contrast as she ran. She almost closed her eyes, even, as she tore across the earth, evading the thick stalks of bamboo to the best of her ability.

Immediately, Khairi let out a shriek – a dark, daunting, child-like scream from the skies as he flew ahead of the harpy. “Prince Erebos.” He spoke through the bond, allowing Khairi to get a more accurate idea of what he spotted ahead of her. She began to slow her pace, the sweat darkening various parts of her body as her icy gaze sought the dark figure of Erebos – one of the first she met back home in the Basin, one of those she considered her friend who taught her what kind of power she actually craved. And my, how things had changed since then. She came from behind the dark prince, her gaze lingering on his figure for a few moments as Khairi began to circle the gathering. “Erebos?” She called out to him, her sides heaving from her run. Though the name escaping her lips now was striking in contrast to the child that had once spoken with the man. It had grown deeper, almost carrying a sultriness to it that Kiada never truly aimed to add. Her voice just seemed to purr now, with whatever it was she said, leaving her lips like honey – dripping from sharp, hidden fangs.

Khairi, meanwhile, had begun to circle the scaled woman, letting Kiada know of her presence. He remained high in the sky, simply watching if anything went awry. The young woman let her gaze drift over to the area where the golden mare was, but said nothing. Instead, she focused on her friend, if she could ever truly call him that.
