Distraction was provided again, her attention returning to the stallion, as his voice shattered the silence that had settled, his tones bestowed upon her ears through lips that were carved into a cheshire cat's grin - it looked truly kind and genuine, caring and politely inquisitive. Ears manufactured from golden scales swivelled and locked onto the words, as pools of molten gold piqued with curiosity, capturing the overall impression of the youthful warrior: the strong, fit physique accompanied by two companions, the inquisition he laid out before her, the unfinished enquiry -
Attention swivelled again, as the stallion's name was evidently announced, as another entered into the scene, her companion calling from the skies above (Dramyrth eyed him with keen interest, ensuring he did not dare to venture any closer lest the talons he possessed attempted to harm his beloved). She was cloaked in flames, her markings curiously familiar, and upon hearing Erebos echo her namesake, recognition properly settled upon her brow. Rexanna mentioned a daughter grown, named Kiada, did she not? In the distraction, the kerfuffle, she took advantage of the spotlight not being upon herself, and gathered her strength and balance beneath her, rising with as much grace as a sleeping dragonmare could, shaking the remnants of slumber from her frame with the lingering leaves and dirt that clung to her mane, tail and pelt. Dramyrth huffed softly, bounding around his beloved and spreading his wings as he leapt to her withers, seeking a better vantage point from which to observe, to judge, to scrutinise the goings-on.
She took her time, breathing softly, observing the reunited friends with quiet curiosity, drawing her own conclusions, hoping as always that her presence was not an imposition upon others, that she was not interrupting some pre-organised meeting. It seemed she was forever destined to be on the outskirts of an interaction, an awkward and unwitting participant in a plot she knew not. Taking a steeling breath, the mare looked between the unicorns, noting the far more animated, more carefree and seemingly softer smile that Erebos now wore for the belle he knew, and the dancing flames that decorated the mare's spine with detached acceptance that this was the company she would be sharing, at least for the near future.
Why so glum? her companion enquired, and Amaris acknowledged his enquiry with a final, miniscule shake of her tiara, a smile chasing away any lingering feelings of upset the dragonmare held onto for her nap having been interrupted. Just tired, she commented, before turning her attention back to the unicorns, hoping she was not an intrusion upon their reunion - she blundered on regardless, painting a façade of joy and pleasure upon her lips as she whickered a low, warm greeting. "Hello," she began, nodding her tiara politely, smiling at the companions who accompanied the duo. "I'm Amaris, and this is Dramyrth." She said simply, before giving the stallion's question to her more consideration. She hoped that he had meant to enquire What are you doing? and not just simply What are you?, though she wouldn't have been perturbed if his query had been the latter. "I was just taking a nap on this soft patch - sorry if I've interrupted a special meeting or something," the words were offered in kind, genuine tones, if with a little wistfulness hinted at the edges as the dragonmare farewelled her afternoon of abandon and slumber for a day instead of new faces and names.
