Akumi had chosen to go with Sacre and the others. The walk was long but not very tiresome, her Marwari heritage gave her the endurance she needed to travel. As they approached the Basin, Akumi looked up to see mighty metal horses. She’d never seen anything like these and didn’t know if they even worked. Regardless she intended to keep her distance had one accidentally step on her and injure her greatly. The air in this place was much more crisp than the edge seemed to be. It was colder too, something Akumi wasn’t used to. She didn’t like the cold much as her coat didn’t have much extra fur to keep her warm. Her skin shivered a few times as she came to a stop and Sacre bellowed out a call. They were met by a seemingly nice mare who called herself Weaver. She was covered in sweat and appeared to be working hard. Akumi admired things like this. Not long after a large black and gold stallion charged through. Her curved ears perked tall at the sight of him. He seemed like a proud tall stallion and someone worthy of respect. However, from the moment he opened his lips, her opinion quickly changed. She silently looked toward Ingrid to see if she might’ve thought the same. Crown? What was he talking about with Sacre? Did he lose his position to this stallion that seemed too arrogant to be in power? She figured from their talk that he was the Basin Lord so she best keep her opinions about him to herself. Calmly and quietly she spoke up. “If you could help us with our quest for a little water, it would be greatly appreciated.” she said with as friendly body language as possible. She didn’t want to upset this stallion in any way. Akumi |
