He claims to know little about percussion, which is fine; it seems like some of the most simple forms of music there is, despite my bucks inability to grasp such simple concepts as timing. Almost shaking my head at him, I find it little wonder that he doesn’t join in on my battles, if he can’t keep rhythm. I should probably glad he hasn’t involved himself more than he has.
Almost laughing when Rhodoc looks at me, as if I have to translate, I wonder just how many realms there are which do not have soul bonds, like this one. I’ve never known a different life, but I’ve met many who treat me, and my bonded, as if we are a most peculiar thing, indeed. I’ve met weirder things here than two life long friends, bound by spiritual magic, that’s for sure. At least we look good together, right? "Ah, at least they had music, even if they were a bit lacking in the magic department," I smile, my buck having resumed hitting the log with his stick in the interim, doing as Rhodoc has suggested (and sparing my sanity, for now, at least), "I sing a bit too. Never in front of people, mind you. But it won me a stupid deer who can’t even play a log right, once." He pauses his playing to glare at me. I feign a sigh. "Duir definitely can’t sing. You don’t even want to hear him try," I smirk, shooting my, at this point, highly offended buck, a playful wink, "a drummer isn’t much good without accompaniment though. Tiamat and Nimue should be along shortly; her whale has quite the voice. I can teach you some songs native to our realm while we wait, yeah?"  |
