The world spins madly on, so much happens so quickly that it seems as if they are either in a holding pattern or racing around like madwomen, sent on quests and other missions. Oh, Yael doesn’t mind, but it seems funny that that’s always the way - a perpetual pattern of feast or famine, when most of them, she thinks, would be quite content to stay in the in-between. Not long after they return from the Marsh, Kaos’s message decoded and for now, known only to the three mares, Lyanna asks her to return to the Throat and Yael happily agrees. She hadn’t quite gotten around to asked permission to return in the winter (which would be soon!), so this return trip is really quite perfect. Really, it’s more of a ‘freedom to roam’ type of thing, to freely come and go without having to disturb anyone.

Raeden’s gift changes her inclinations to be gone for the entirety of winter, as does her promotion. Responsibility is not to be taken lightly.

They take to the skies, a quiet camaraderie between them, comfortable in the silence and physical exertion of flying (which in itself, is calming to Yael). After landing, but before the others arrive, Yael hopes to get a quick question answered. “Are ve going to tell zem about Kaos’s message, or ees zat somet’ing ve need to keep kiet for avile?” She can’t imagine a reason for hiding the knowledge, but she is not privy to the Edge’s diplomatic matters. They words aren’t exactly an answer to anything, but haven’t several of their Gods asked that they do this thing? And now it’s done, so… what’s the next task? Does anyone have an idea?
