The strange bird of ten hands flitted down to the sands beside his Sultana, one worthy of the respect of any king in Pippin's eyes, and it seemed as though whether she held a title or not she would always be mother hen around here. Fluffing the sand from his wings (Down wind of course, he wouldn't allow his sand to blow onto Mrs. Ampere).
Brandybuck remained perched between his wings, the week-old wolverine cub huddled in the soft saddle of down feathers between the hobbit's shoulder blades; a worthy nest for the bairn, one who to Pippin's understanding was merely an orphaned beast and not the kind who was bonding to him magically (Pippin had no real clue about companions).

His gaze soon found their way to the gathering Edgefolk, the first of the caravan to make it to the shores being two ladies he recognised immediately. The canary was one he didn't recall the name of, though she seemed nice enough from their encounter under the dragon's jaws, and Lyanna. Perfect, Pretty, Princess Lyanna. The halfling almost rolled his eyes each time his gaze cast her way, though truthfully he had no reason to dislike her other than she had won over a recruit. Chomping upon some left-over grass in his mouth the child of stone decided perhaps he should give the windswept pegasus another chance; perhaps she wasn't as perfect and precious as she had made herself out to be.
