Today is a most magnificent day for flying! Not too hot, not too cold, and the seasonal winds of change bring currents that can send soaring to such great heights.
Jubilantly, the petite woman throws herself off the Edge’s cliffs, using her strong wings to push her higher and higher, to the point where air can support her, and she can coast with minimal effort. ‘Round and ‘round and ‘round she goes, a dot in the sky, until she decides to come down to Earth. Somewhere out over the ocean, where there is nothing but the squawking of seagulls and peaceful silence, screeching manages to reach her, even up there. Rocks? Is that it? Magical Rocks?
Well, it wouldn’t be the first time something bizarre has been proposed like that. Interest piqued, she angles her feathers so she can dip down towards the Isles and investigate further. One pass shows a very colorful bird - more colorful than she’s ever seen before, and a second reveals a multitude of trinkets surrounding it. Her friend Amaris is there too! Well, that’s reason enough to come down and pay attention, isn’t it? Plus she’s met a few of the Gods, but there are others she’d like to say hello to, you know? Kind of like a ‘get to know your neighbors’ type of thing. So the golden woman lands daintily in the sand a few feet away and trots over, giving Amaris a gentle nudge as she comes up alongside the dragonmare. “Xe’s awfully loud, eesn’t xe?” she whispers in confidence before settling in to wait and see what this ‘contest’ is all about.
