YOU'VE GOT THE WORLD ON ITS KNEES, YOU'RE TAKING ALL THAT YOU PLEASE

His steps echo like bullets against the walls of the cave as he marches through it. Each heavy clop, clop of his hooves creates a din that makes his ears flatten against his head, especially when his shod hind-feet land upon the stony ground beneath. His dragons don't like it in here; there's little room for them to maneuver in the cramped conditions, so they've remained outside in the open air whilst their bonded prowls beneath Helovia's surface. The onyx leviathan has no real reason to be here save for rampant curiosity - this is the one place within Helovia that he rarely comes to, and that strikes him as willfully ignorant on his part. There could be a whole wealth of knowledge down here, unknown beasts and untold riches, sunken cities and beautiful women placed here for his pleasure....it seems silly not to explore here and see what lies beneath the ground.

Volterra feels like he's been walking for hours without finding anything of great interest, and he's soon growing bored. There's a hint of wariness about him as he contemplates finding his way back to the surface again from within this labyrinth of caves, but he trusts his dragons to aid him if it comes to it. He is just about to give up and turn back, accept that there's nothing in these caves but dank walls and cold air, when the noise of his hooves suddenly stops. Puzzled, the stallion glances down, and finds to his surprise that he's now walking on moss rather than hard stone. He continues forwards, his curiosity fully piqued now, and the cave opens up into a a large glowing room filled with trees and vegetation. Quite how trees and plants are growing here when there's no light bar the eerie blue glow from the mushrooms, Volterra isn't sure, but he's deeply intrigued by what he's discovered. There's even a misty waterfall in the distance, creating a gently trickling stream that roams through the trees.

The colossus ventures deeper, lowering his head to snap off a chunk of moss. It is tasty, spongy, and certainly seems edible. Rather pleased with himself for his find, the beast shoots a furtive glance around, arrogantly sure that this place is his and his alone - who else would roam this deep beneath the earth to find this little sanctuary when the sun is shining outside? Volterra so rarely finds himself so utterly and completely alone, with his dragons so far away that their consciousnesses are a mere trickle inside his mind and without a single other horse in sight. There's nobody around....nobody to disturb him, just himself and the greenery around him.

What's a man to do? With a wicked smile, the beast casts another glance around to make sure he's fully alone, before allowing nature to take over. Indeed, what's a man to do when he's so completely alone and, as ever, filled with lust and the desire to scratch an itch?

Yes. That.
