The demigoddess hadn't expected to be interrupted. It was the middle of the night, and her words had been soft. Then again, those in the Edge had a way of showing up when things were about to happen, and so she silently criticized herself for not taking more appropriate precautions. Although she of course had no notion of Yael's unspoken question, if she had not been discovered the answer was no, she very likely would not have said goodbye. Such things were not in her social vocabulary, no matter how many efforts she had made to act more appropriately.
Turning her massive frame, now swollen with pregnancy and the lives growing inside of her, Isopia regarded Yael silently for a moment before nodding. "I am." She said, wings spreading slowly away from her flanks to indicate the bulge of life pushing outwards. "I had not thought pregnancy would necessitate my leaving ... but it has. The Father lives in the Throat and I..." Isopia paused for a second, sighing inwardly at the need to share this memory, but deciding that doing so would expedite Yael's understanding of her situation. "My mother lived in the Edge, but my Father ... well, he was always tethered to the Falls. Growing up with parents separated by distance and responsibility made much of my formative years difficult. I do not see the need to force that life on what grows inside of me."
Turning for a second, Isopia regarded the stars, envisioning her aunt swirling in the darkness somewhere above them. "Besides, the Edge will not want for a replacement for me. It is not my place to raise the next Seer, but I came here tonight to suggest a replacement to the Goddess, just in case."
