Isopia can't quite remember if anyone has every asked her this particular question before. Implicitly she had just assumed that most thought it was because of her status as a demi-god that she was the way that she was. However neither Kahlua nor the God of the Earth were (or are) particularly philosophical. So the fact that her intellect came from either of her parents is perhaps not as understandable of an assumption as it might seem.

So where did it come from?

Truthfully, Isopia has no idea. She is of course thankful that she is the way she is, despite how difficult it can often make her life. But she can't with entire intellectual honesty ascribe all of it to herself. "I was born this way, I think." Isopia begins, her golden eyes meeting the bi-coloured gaze of her daughter. "I lack empathy I believe. I don't experience the world the way others do. I think that's what makes it easier for me to be analytic." As her child inquires as to whether or not she or her sibling might have inherited this trait, Isopia furrows her brows slightly, unsure.

"What do you think?" The Mountain asks studiously. "You've seen a bit of the herd now. Do you think you are the same as they are?"
