The gold was a lover of all things precious, and especially shiny. Yet he had not expected this trait to seemingly worm its way into one of his sons so early. As the colt reaches eagerly for the objects he hesitates further. What about these objects attract his son’s attention? It seemed almost…non-natural. Perhaps some magic lay locked in them which connected the pale child to them. The gold had been drawn to Haldir’s egg those years ago. Still did objects like this just appear? His son’s answer was far from satisfactory, leaving the gold hanging in his thoughts, granting the colt only a, “We’ll see.” Crowned head reaches out though and pushes the objects within his child’s reach, wanting to see what the babe did with them. Then came an unexpected question. The harks of the gold rise back up to attention. He pauses, thinking of what his mate might say. But though he lay beside his child in the cold night, and though he would not tell the babe (just yet anyway) of the surely coming doom, he also would not paint too rosey of pictures. “Bones are inside living creatures. They are hard and strong and come together with muscles to hold us up.” He pauses tilting toward the objects. “Those once were inside someone…but I’ve never seen bones like those.” "talk talk talk" OOC:: Thranduil
