An opalescent glitter catches the demigoddess' eyes.

She bounds towards it, cloven hooves clacking rapidly against the parched earth. Perhaps she could bring it back to mother, to placate her. When the pale filly is upon it, she digs frantically at the dirt, managing to unearth roughly half of it until the comet disturbs her.

It crashes and tumbles in an ungainly mess of limbs and wings - and Israfel stands protectively over her rock, ears tipped back in warning. It had uttered an amicable hey, before its landing, but none of this registered in her head. There are a lot of things that could eat babies such as she, Mother had warned her, and it was a good thing she was blessed with magic. She blinks furiously at it - a roan filly with strange markings - attempting to make sense of her. "What are you doing?" she says as menacingly as she can, which truthfully, wasn't very. "Who taught you how to fly?" - the menace became pompous, and the filly glances toward the flames writhing in the hole pompously. A sly smile slid across her pink lips, much like a garden snake, sluggish with spring sun.

For a few moments, the demigoddess continued unearthing the gem nonchalantly, the muscles in her shoulders roiling over each other, like kittens underneath a pale blanket. When it was mostly uncovered, she nudges it lovingly out of its dirt cradle, admiring her work as it sits and glitters in the sun and the light of the fire. She glances up toward the lightning-filly, mischief in her vermilion eyes. "I'm Israfel," she offers casually - manners are very important, Mother insists, "wanna see what I can do?", her voice is lowered conspiratorially and she leans toward the other girl.

Regardless of the roan's answer, the white filly is suddenly trapped in a whirlwind of fire; she seems to disintegrate within it, and when it vanishes, only a single down feather is left in her traces. No sooner than she has gone, however, Israfel re-materializes behind her new friend in something similar to a funeral pyre. She is grinning maniacally, waiting for her to turn her head in surprise.

(so short ;__; I'm sorry)
