High above, Phaedra glided on the warm air-currents. Although FrostFall was almost over, it certainly wasn't just going to fade out. The past few days had been bitterly cold, and the little mare had not grown much of a winter coat. Flying always elevated her heartbeat enough to get her blood flowing and keep her from getting too numb. But flying over the Heart always did the trick - it was always a little warmer here, and there were always warm air-currents to be found.

As she circled around, she spotted the roan stallion who had just landed. A momentary jolt of panic racked through her. How had she missed him? As she steadied herself, she took a deep breath, mentally reminding herself that she was not going to be afraid any longer. She was apart of a mercenary group. That meant something. And more - she had been given a quest by one of the God's. She had a lot to live up to, a lot to prove, and being scared like she always had been, was not apart of the plan.

Taking another breath, her green gaze steeled as she rapidly descended down towards the rocky ground. Who knows, maybe this will be the lovestruck stallion that I need, she thought amusedly, constantly thinking about her quest from the Earth God, and how it was going to be fulfilled. As she neared, these thoughts dissipated almost immediately. The stallion before her really didn't look like the warm and fuzzy type. Phaedra landed, kicking up a small whirlwind of dust as her wings beat the air forward, cushioning her landing. She was still about 10 feet away from the stallion. Phaedra did not curl her wings close to her sides, but instead left them hanging still wide open, just in case. Old habits die hard.

She fixed her green gaze on the stallion, intent on not letting her mind wander into the past. This was literally the first time she had ever approached a pegasus. She tended to avoid them at all costs. It was not racism on her part, only instinctual fear. Horses and Unicorns could not follow her into the sky - she was safe from them - could easily out run them. But a fellow pegasus? This one in particular, looked about her age, and quite strong. Was she faster than him...? She certainly thought so, her size would likely give her an edge in an aerial chase, but she hoped that she wouldn't have to find out.

Suddenly, another thought entered her mind. If he really was as strong as he appeared to be, might he not join The Grey? If he would not serve as a love-interest in her match-making game, perhaps he could aid her in other ways. Determined not to appear frightened, Phaedra stepped forward, raising an eyebrow skeptically as she looked at him. At least he was male - they usually found her attractive. In the past, she had used this to her advantage. If they thought they could have her, or owned her, usually they kept her safe. Now however, she was hoping that her odd beauty might win this stallion to her cause, for The Grey.
