In the distance the tree cracks and falls as thunder hits it once more. Strange; it seems to disappear in a blurred image, as if taken back through time to its rightful place in the burning foothills forest.
As valiant as your efforts may be, the little chick needs more than food. It struggles to rise once on the ground beside you, but falls back in weakness. Smoke still lingers within its lungs and the burns on its wing are painful. It looks at you with distrust for now, but there is a chance for a bond to be forged. Without aid the chick will not live through the coming days. Find someone to heal the creature and keep it fed; perhaps even in this troubled time shadowed by the light of the eclipse, a bond can be formed.
