The two leopards were nervous as they followed behind the unicorn that led them so far from their home in the steppe to the forest she claimed their lost cub was in. Numerous times they exchanged skeptical glances as they traveled deeper into the darkness. Back in the Steppe their last remaining cub lay sleeping, hidden away in the small corner of the cave that was their home. The farther they traveled the more ill at ease they became.

"Indeed." A deep, gruff voice echoed the horned mare. "Welcome to the deep forest. So nice of you to leave your cub unattended."

The leopards looked at one another again, the male's eyes filled with anger and the female's filled with fear. Without another word the two turned and took off at a run, leaving behind the unicorn and their chance at finding their missing cub to save their last remaining one.

A chuckle sounded as the two leopards ran and left the unicorn behind. It was what they had been hoping for. Dinner had been delivered. From the shadow of the woods a large male wolf stepped forward, his coat as black as night save for the slight greying around his muzzle. Two more appeared, one on each side of the mare, slightly smaller than the wolf that stood before the unicorn. The last two wolves appeared behind Yseulte.

A chorus of eager growls sounded as they surrounded the mare, but they were quickly silenced by the alpha male. "You will be joining us for dinner." He said, his sharp teeth flashing in the little light that penetrated the canopy above them.
