Smoke was the smell that caught her attention. Nostrils quivered, and her ears perked forward. Fire? A fire here? The Sun God held now power here. What? The visions from the Moon were few and far between, and the Seer felt abandoned. Especially now, especially with all of this destruction, she felt so alone. A relic in a time she did not belong. Aged, but not showing her years.

The small, old mare's hooves barely touched the ground, racing toward the smoke. She slid to a stop when she saw the sun god, and her eyes narrowed, protecting the lilac irises from the burning light. Her heart fell to her hooves as she looked around her, watching the forests she was born in, the forests she spoke to, burn. The life here was screaming for help, and their voices echoed in her skull like torture.

She gasped, whirling around as the magnitude of this slight fell upon her like the weight of the tide. What monster could do this? Tears, from both emotion and thick smoke fell from her eyes, and she turned to face the God of the Sun. "How could you!" she screamed. "Why? What could any of us do to you, you foul creature! Monstrous devil! Stop!"

What reason did she have to live if not for these trees?
