"Tell me another one mommy!" Mesec whines to the Moon God. She laughs and the stars in the sky seem to twinkle all the more in her delight.
"Yes another one," Hototo agrees, sipping at the hot cocoa the Earth God had just brewed.
"A cozy one," Israfel adds in as she snuggles near the fireplace generated by the Sun God.
"I've got one," a voice murmurs from the edge of the family gathering, surprisingly devoid of its usual cynicism and sarcasm. "It starts a long, long time ago..."
One of the oldest traditions is the act of storytelling, and many of the holidays we celebrate are built on a lifetime of stories and traditions building in families over the years.
We encourage you to write and share a story placed within Helovia. Characters can be made up or real, but please get permission from players to portray their characters. Follow either a theme of Winter or one of the holidays of Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanza; optionally you can create your own holiday that might be celebrated within Helovia.

- Stories must be 800 words or less.
- A winner will be decided based on member vote of the entries.
- Voting will be held for a week directly following the close of the contest.
- The contest closes at the end of December.
- Please submit your stories/entries to this thread.
- Please title each story. Titles cannot be the same as another story.
- If you have more than one story each should be separately posted.
- Stories depicting characters not belonging to you must have permission from their players.
