"Little birdy~!"

Giggly little voice called out after a coral colored bird that flitted just out of reach. Long spindly legs carried sandy body effortlessly through the trees, unaware of where he was going or would end up. Emerald irises glowed with youthful joy as thin body jumped over fallen trees and bushes with the grace and appearance of a deer. Glowing white wings spread on occasion, careful not to brush or scrape against the trees around him. Smooth downward strokes lifted tiny body off the ground, light hooves reaching out in a playful dance as the bird before him rolled and flitted about as if leading Cera on. Playing together.

Trilling out sweetly the bluebird slowed its wings to drop back to swirl around Cera's face. Squealing with delight the cherub giggled and raced after the little thing as it sped ahead once again. The bird swept its wings up and headed into the canopy of trees, disappearing. Cera whined sadly, but the disappointment didn't last long. Glancing around, trying to determine where he was. He had always skirted around the Deep Forest before, and had no idea where he was. Shrugging, he turned and bounded back towards the South. It seemed he never ran out of energy, and he didn't think he had anything to fear. The Foothills was close with how far north he was, but he was confident if he continued moving directly south he would make it back to the Throat.

Bouncy trot carried him through the Deep Forest, humming happily and giggling on occasion. This was Hototo's home, wasn't it? Cera nearly squealed with delight and felt even safer. He had taken an extreme liking to the quiet colt, and was already eager to see him again. Perhaps he could beg Midas to take him out tomorrow! Surely his father would like to see Ktulu again. Cera didn't understand that Midas was attracted to her, he was much too young, but his jealousy had dimmed. At first he didn't want Ktulu taking up his father's time, but after meeting her son he was more interested in playing with another of his gender. He usually went adventuring with Mystique, and didn't have a male influence other than Midas. Cera tripped and was yanked out of his thoughts, his experience with spindly legs lending him the skills to recover before he went sprawling. Giggling to himself that his legs hadn't tripped him up completely this time. He was sprouting up every day and hadn't gone sprawling since the beginning of Frostfall, a change he greatly enjoyed.
