He has never seen a, or maybe, the, kraken before. Not in the time he has roamed this underwater, legs restless, piercing amber eyes long finished aching from the salt rubbing against them. The beast's coat is slick, with an almost oily sheen now, turned from a rich shade of umber brown to obsidian, glittering obsidian that flashes with golden light from the coin in the sky. The vagabond notices the disturbance immediately in his home of pale blues and watery sunlight, the smooth sand mangled by only the coral reefs and the occasional slippery shape of shark. After fighting off the last monster, however, they had learned to leave him alone.

Amber eyes watch warily, carefully, as the fish came shooting out towards him, scales sparkling brilliantly in the golden light, working their tales off. Even the gap-jawed sharks follow them, and the dolphins are right behind. Oh yes, the dolphins following sharks- completely normal. Senses instantly turn on, heighten, and those mangled ears swivel back and forth under the blue water deep. There are hoofprints in the sand, quickly scrubbed away by the stirring water as something comes out from the deep.

Cormac's gills glisten wetly as they open to allow the water flooding in. The waves are coming into a frenzy. And then, and then, there is something not even the Warlord could fight off.

A kraken. The equine watches, astounded, as a great mass of slimy skin comes up, tentacle curled neatly around some kind of wooden object the mount of a pirate immediately recognized- a boat. Was it this monster that had killed off the crew? Was it this beast that made Hrender die? For a moment, the stallion's mane drifts eerily and he stands completely silent. Then he launches himself upwards, bursting out of the water in a thousand droplets, eyes wild. Only very few could tell exactly what kind of emotion those golden eyes held.

"What are you doing out here, you pair of mangy land-lubbers! Get out! There's a fucking monster down here, are you idiots?" He comes roaring out of the water, eyes immediately taking in their forms. Of course, being so preoccupied with what's in the water, he ignores what is out.
