Romani
After crossing the herd border, the palomino mare stopped in their venture and turned her pretty head towards the stallion, regarding him with kind eyes. “Welcome to the Foothills, Adeamus. This is your home now.” She wondered how he was taking this all, absorbing the sights, sounds, and smells of the land that would become his home. Would he come to love it like she did? Or would he merely regard the Foothills like a place of respite, and not loyalty? “What do you think? Beautiful, hm?”
While she didn’t know him that well yet, as they had just met, Romani had the feeling that he would grow to love it. At least, she hoped that he would.
At her heels, Kasai pranced forward a few steps, completely at ease around Adeamus now. All fears that she had previously held seemed to have vanished. Ears perked forward and little nose twitched as she took in the smells that the cub now associated with home, her tail swaying slightly. While somewhat tired from the walk home from the Threshold, the feline was still full of energy. The tigress’ head swiveled back around to face the two equines, a purr emanating from deep in her throat. They were home.
”Yes, sweet,” Romani murmured through her mind for only Kasai to hear, a softer smile crossing her dark lips as she regarded the cub with loving eyes, ”We are home.”
