"I am Mauja," the big stallion responded. His voice was strong, and seemed confident. he stood his ground as he spoke and looked after the mare for her response. His eyes fell and he absorbed all that she was. He took in every detail of her appearance: her small cone-shaped horn that had a slight glow, her odd brindle markings, a purple-gray coat, and short mane and tail. Vy's eyes widened and she felt a little odd, uncomfortable even, under the gaze of the masculine and hazy stallion.

Mauja. Hm.

"I am...a lost king. He stated it as the absolute truth, it seemed to puzzle him a bit even. Something about that vexed him. His lips curled into a discreet, but noticable, smile, and the sun caught his eyes at the perfect time. They glinted and shone in the sun from underneath his dark lashes.

For some reason her presence here seemed to offer him some comfort, though miniscule.

But what is he up to? If he is even here what is he doing...one shouldn't assume the other's motives before they know for sure what those intentions are. In short he seems harmless to others. He doesn't look calculating. But what is he here for. What is his purpose?

"So, Mauja, what are you looking for?" She paused before continuing. "What are you here for?"

She waited for him to respond, not knowing what he would say. A chill hung in the air, but this time it wasn't from the cold.

For the first time she noticed a pair of wings soar above her. It was only for an instant and in the blink of an eye they disappeared. The wings weren't of a sparrow or finch, but of a much larger more grandeur bird. She looked after the bird but it was nowhere to be seen.

Odd. Very odd indeed. But, she sighed what is odd these days anyway. Everything seems to be off now. Nothing is what it is, and everything is what it isn't. That's the nature of the world I suppose.
