Childlike laughter echoed through the darkness of the Aurora Basin. Beneath the colored sky a young fox ran giggling and playing, its steps compressing the snow and barely audible under its slight weight. Tails whipped back and forth as it moved. It weaved its way between the legs of the sleeping horses, pausing only when it invaded their dreams and played games with their minds. On and on it moved, from horse to horse, always invading the sanctity of another's dream, crafting lies that would leave the poor victim unsure of what was true.

The young fox moved on, this time with another victim in its sight. The slender bay mare with the twisted black horn. Her aura screamed innocence but there was something else that drew the fox toward her. Again, its tails waved back and forth, crackling with electricity as it looked up at her and waited. What it was waiting for the fox did not know, but it waited patiently for the mare to wake.
