As she cleared her head, pushed the thoughts of her past from her mind, she could feel him watching her. As if there were something on his mind as well. A gentle change in her position and then she looked up, asking him how the Wind was treating him since he had no home. In response she watched as his cranium tilted ever so slightly to one side. An amusing expression for one of such huge stature and the looks that seemed as if they could really attack anyone. Though, he had promised not to hurt her. So she would work with that. "The Wind has proven to be more fickle than any mare, my lady, but she has been treating us all well of late, I believe." a wry tone to his voice as a grin tugged upon his maw. She gave a tiny bob of the head. Good, at least he was doing well too. For it would be a shame for someone as nice as he to not be doing too well. His smile was copied upon her maw as she allowed herself to speak "That is good to hear, sir," she told him in response before she noticed that he was leaning closer to her. But not only leaning closer to her tiny frame but stretching his nape out so that he could almost touch her. It was then that he realized what he was doing and pulled back, leaning his weight backwards. She shuffled her feet a little, letting out a short breath, before she delicately reached her maw to bump his own. Something she had done many a times to Ciro, to tell him she was alright. It was but habit. And it was comforting. That was, until she realized that Ciro was dead and the memories flooded her brain again. She stumbled back again, pining her ear at the images that flashed through her mind - eyes glazed over showing that she wasn't really there. And it didn't take long for the sound of a rabbit coming through the grass (which now sounded much like a wolf due to the memories) had her completely panicked. Body trembling as she jumped forward, but a fair distance from Quil's bodice - not out of range of his wings if he so chose to extend them, but out of range of a kick. The world, falling apart in front of her even though absolutely nothing was happening. Don't. Cry. she thought to herself.
