The mare who once entered these ancient ruins, had been skittish and flighty. If she thought the God of the Earth was a frightening sight to behold, she had no idea what she was in for, with the manipulative and cunning Goddess that she now sought. Phaedra had gained confidence - becoming a spy in the Grey, stealing an amulet, completing her quest and gaining a companion, winning a spar; it had made her bold. And her boldness had brought her back to the Veins, to ask for more.
The sooty palomino entered slowly, with poise and elegance. All her life, she had flirted with stallions so that they might view her as some pretty thing, that they could have, and touch, and do with as they would. In turn, they would protect her. Phae was slender and lithe - she was no fighter. She needed them, in the same way they craved her. But coming to Helovia had been different...she didn't need them in that way, but still found that she enjoyed toying with them as they did. Stallions could be so easily manipulated by her feminine charms - mares as well. She had once manipulated stallions to protect her - her tactics had been defensive maneuvers. Now however, she craved the ability to take matters into her own hands; to mould her future herself.
Thus, on this warm BirdSong evening, Phae ventured into into the Veins, moving without a moment's hesitation to the shrine of the Goddess of the Moon. She had heard the Goddess possessed unequaled beauty, but could be vicious and cold. It was...appealing, Phae thought. Absently she wondered if any stallions had ever been with the goddess, or, more accurately, if she had ever been with any of them...? The thought sent a shiver down the mare's spine, filling her belly with a warm pulsing light.
"Lady of the Night, Goddess of the Moon. " She said softly, onto the breeze, feeling sudden apprehension. The God of the Earth had sent her on a quest which ultimately proved to be for her own good. After hearing of the Goddess whom she now sought, she very much doubted that her quest would be as easy.
