((Intended as impromptu lesson about wings and whatever else foals/herdmates want to ask the friendly resident gryphon, so anyone else is welcome to pop in))

There was satisfaction to be found, if one thought to ask the silvery gryphon about what she thought of living with horses. More in this place than anywhere before. She was one of the herd's members, but did not live amongst the trees that sheltered them. No, she had discovered these cliffs that lined the sea-ward border and had been thrilled. A cave a few dozen feet below the cliff-top on which she now rested served as her home, accessed by a narrow ledge only a small flying creature could reach, such as herself.

The waters that surged and rumbled below served as a buffet for the fish-eating gryphon, and reminded her of home. Didn't you know she was from far away to the south and east, and grew up in a location much like the one she had staked out now? Its true. It was because of this that she stayed. That and her friends, and the chance to learn. And, in the process, the opportunity the teach arose from time to time.

But for now she rested, stretched out on a patch of dark, bare stone, easily visible to the eye both ignorant and watchful in all her silvery-grey splendor. Golden eyes watched the distant waters that were deceivingly quiet, while ear tufts were angled back, listening for the sound of another's approach. She half expected the company of Rishima and Kali, in truth, for the little griffon was always an excellent playmate, and the mare a friend. The pair were her reason for being here in the first place. But she would not complain should someone else choose to seek her company, for whatever reason.
