The battlefield was slick with rain, which made the intentions of the bay stallion all the more apparent; for who else would be out on the battlefield in such miserable weather, if they were not looking to spar?

Gaucho stood stoicly, as if his primitive brain was simply too dumb to comprehend the rain pouring down upon him. His muzzle was raised, letting streams of water pour down his cheeks and muzzle, but stay out of his eyes. Oddly, the war paint decorating his flanks and around his left eye, were not diminished in anyway by the constant inflow of moisture. His large black wings were folded neatly to his sides, hiding his red plumage underneath, and not making any attempt to shield himself from the rain.

He had been accepted into the Dragon's Throat, if accepted was even the right word. He was brought back, by a grulla stallion, and simply left. What if he had been a spy? Or was looking to cause harm? Had he made a mistake, and joined a weak and naive herd? His gut told him no, but his senses said otherwise. Still, if there were warriors in his herd, they would surely smell the throat on him. And if they really were warriors, they would understand his purpose here, and aid him.

Grunting, the large hanoverian stallion pivoted neatly on his hind end, to face away from the direction of the rain. He raised his muzzle, pierced with a bone, to the sky and whinnied loudly; his chest contracting as he forced the sound out. Dance with me, that call said. If you can.

[Weather: Heavy rain. It isn't cold given the BirdSong warmth, but it is coming down!
Shortened spar: 2 offensive posts, 1 defensive. You can start. You may either attack Gaucho right on, or if you feel the need for narrative, you can assume that whatever Aryel says, Gaucho will grunt at, and turn his body square to her, and extend his wings.
This can be a teaching spar if you like.]
