The quest was not to be forgotten. Just because her life had changed slightly meeting all of those stallions, she would not forget the quest that the Earthen God sent her on in the beginning of the winter. The night was luke warm and made the unicorn breathe a bit heavier. Something had changed since she'd met Mauja, and Azzaron. The sadness still filled her heart, but she wasn't allowed to let it take over. It was time for her to cover her face in the war mask she had painted upon herself so long ago. Time to become that other mare. Delinne looked around in the big woods, knowing that this was the place where she had walked into Helovia. It was here she'd been when Mauja came to pick her up, following her to the Edge and the herd. Something twisted her heart, but she didn't let the pain take over. After all, this was something she had to do. She had to do this for the friend she wished so deeply for. She wasn't exactly alone anymore though. She had Azzaron, who loved her. But she needed someone to care for in a motherly way, someone that she could lean on in hard times. Not just a lover. She needed someone that she could bond with truly. The mare wandered around in the forest, endlessly searching for something. What did she search for? She did not know. The information that Archibald had given her all that time ago hadn't helped her very much, and she still didn't know quite how dangerous Mandrake was. She had seen her in her other form, but was that all that made her dangerous like the jaguar itself? The fact that she could transform into one? There had to be more.
