DAENERYS
All I loved, I loved alone.

She didn’t notice him approaching. One moment, she closed her eyes in perfect solitude, and when she opened them, there he stood. A startled gasp escaped her, eyes briefly widened, but then a pleasant smile flowered on her kissers. His less than friendly expression made her doubt if she should speak to him, but she had been on her own a lot lately; some conversation might be nice. Dany made her way toward the shore, her form slowly revealed as she ascended from the water. Being pregnant had ridden her of some of her usual graceful delicacy, but her face was as mild and smiling as ever as she approached this stranger. Dany did not know sufficiently of Helovia to know any of the residents of World’s Edge, but Mirage had told her about the all-unicorn herd that lived here, and this stallion smelled unfamiliar to her. He was not of the Foothill’s, that was the one herdland that she had some solid knowledge of, and she was sure she would’ve noticed if she’d seen him moving around there.

Daenerys liked to believe in the best in everyone, but she wasn’t stupid; predators lurked around every corner. Having lived with Viserys for as long as she could remember, she had learned the most brutal way, but she was out of his reach now. He didn’t matter anymore, she had a new family with The Qian and his claws couldn’t grasp her anymore. With a polite dip of her tiara, she smiled at the stallion, remaining in the water’s edge, as to not get too close. "Water makes for a poor relief in this blistering heat," she spoke simply, her melodic chords painting the air. Turning her tiara, she glanced at the sunset and smiled; it was beautiful, her favorite time of day, when the setting sun painted the sky a thousand colors. Droplets slid from her body to the water below, glistening in the fading light and making it look like her silvery body was melting. Her thistle eyes went back to the stallion, curiosity in their depths; he was older than her, she could tell, and around his feet gathered small heaps of ash. "At least the sunset is beautiful," she remarked, looking him in the eye. "I’m Daenerys."
