Mauja Frosthjärta
[ this might be terrible, but as I said I'd get one up today.. *shifty eyes* ]

Either stupid or in control, indeed. The wet dun stallion smiled up towards him, looking quite likeable until he scrambled out as if burned by the waters. Ironic, because the opposite was true. Nothing upon Mauja's face shifted, as he did not want to give himself away as the culprit. Relaxing his grasp on the magic he let it go, allowed it to melt, not sparing the spring a glance as it quietly returned to its normal state. The stranger, with irritation upon his face but not in his voice, promised he would be an asset if given the chance, and the Frostheart wondered if it was a barb against the rather inhospitable greeting he'd received. However, he was given no time to reply immediately, as the sweet voice of Lena cut through the air, calling out a name. Amusement rippled through the curiosity of his blue gaze as his head turned, black-rimmed ears flickering forward as the bay mare came forward. Did they know one another? Then why did he show up alone, in this manner?

The truth became clear in a moment when she proclaimed to have met him in the Threshold, though the offer had, initially, been rejected. At this, Mauja turned his head back towards the dun boy and arched a 'brow coolly at him. "He does," the alabaster stallion said, answering her question, even though it was aimed at Roland. What would've made him change his mind? Did life alone not suit him, so that he came seeking the shelter of a herd he had not meant to live with? Exhaling a soft sigh he turned his head to brush his dark muzzle against Lena's neck, breathing in her familiar scent. At least some things didn't change, even if others did, though he hoped that some things had — their catastrophic dynamics, for one.

"But I must ask," he continued in a voice that was rich in curiosity yet lacked judgment despite its words. "Why?" His open, though guarded, gaze sought for Roland's, to hold him and bid him speak nothing but truth.
seven days to the poison
and a place in heaven
angels, they fell first, but I'm still here
