You Say That Love Goes Anywhere; In Your Darkest Time, It’s Just Enough To Know It’s There.
It seemed he would never quite get used to the heat that came with Tallsun. The sun shone brightly, the hot rays permeating in the dark depths of his coat and wrapping him in a stuffy embrace that honestly, Thayne could do without being in. The heat was something that he wasn't used to, for back home in Sliccic, the summers were mild and winters cold. While he had never been too sure as to why the weather acted as it did, the steely-grey stallion simply summed it up to the location of his home; nestled at the base of a set of mountains, Sliccic had been plentiful for many reservations. Due to that very reason, his body had developed under such situations, and now, thrust into this unmerciful heat... Well, all in all, the Warlander knew he would need to find some place cooler to spend the rest of the sweltering afternoon, less he overheat.

Paced at a calm, almost lazy, dragging walk, Thayne parused through the thick branches and trees of the shade he had found himself in. His journey had started in the Thistle Meadow, where he had slept during the night, his only companion the bubbling of the nearby stream and the gentle fingers of moonlight that stroked his dark coat as he slept. While the morning had started cool, the empire had eventually surrendered to the ferocity that was the sun. Perhaps, he mused as he lifted a large, feather-covered hoof over a tangle of fallen tree limbs, that was why many feared the God of the Sun...

Soft green eyes lingered on the yellowed-greenery of the grove he had found himself in, surely a result of the intense heat that had swallowed up nearly all of Helovia. It made his lips twitch downards, for this place was truly beautiful... And even though it was suffering due to Tallsun, at the same time, it wasn't. It was rich and alive here in the Secret Grove, living pure in its earthly beauty and inviting scents. The thick canopy of trees and other such vegetation provided the dark Warlander with an ample amount of shade, which acted like a soothing balm to a burn. A relieved breath escaped his maw, revelling in the cool atmosphere. This is what he had been needing...

Nothing but silence had reigned through the grove, which he had been completely content with... But suddenly, a sound attracted his attention, something unfamiliar but not necessariy unwarranted. The sweaty stag came to an abrupt halt, his ears snapping forward and head raising at attention. A growling came from a ways in front of him, followes seconds later by the crisp sound of a rather beautiful laughter... While at first he had been alarmed, Thayne realized moments later that there was nothing to fear. For why would somone be laughing at a growling beast? For a brief moment the Warlander hesitated with himself, uncertain if he should approach. What if whoever it was wished to remain alone?

For a minute or two the large brute stood there in the dancing shadows of the Grove, fighting with himself over what he should decide... But it was another bark of laughter from paces away that finally caused the coal-colored stallion to make up his mind. The crimped, silvered strands of his tail gave a brief flick in curiosity, and mind made up, he ventured on, hoping he wasn't making some kind of mistake by intrusion.

Due to his sheer size and mass, it wasn't too difficult to shove the vegetation clear from around him. Low hanging branches and tall grasses pulled and scraped at his sweat-soaked hide, but he paid it little mind. The stallion came to a clearing, standing underneath the weeping bows of a willow tree, and it was there that he spotted two that were obviously in the mids of a joyful playtime. An obviously young white bear-cub pranced about a mare that was only too familiar to Thayne's green eyes, and he watched as they shared a few beautiful, playful moments that were surely meant for no other eyes.

It was Lakota, his mind told him, the blue roan mare who he had met only weeks before. While they hadn't spoken much, Thayne had found himself captivated by the mystery that was Lakota. She was quite unlike any other mare he had ever crossed paths with; genuine but uncertain, questioning not only herself but the others around her... And that strong, brave, admirable facade was hiding something deep inside her blue-hued breast, anguish and unfathomable sadness unlike Thayne was sure he had ever experienced. Since their first meeting, her beautiful, lavender eyes had lingered in the back of his mind, dancing about in his dreams and causing many questions to rise in his cranium. Had he wanted to see her again? Yes, of course, for she was simply intriguing... The pieces of a complex puzzle that left Thayne curious as to what would happen, if he could place the intricate pieces together.

It was during a pause in their playful romp that Thayne decided to let himself known. Hopefully he wouldn't frighten or bother Lakota, or her curious companion by arriving. If so, then the Warlander planned to turn right back around and let her be. Clearing his throat, the stallion spoke, the deep timbre of his voice resonating through the peaceful Grove.

"Lakota... It's wonderful to see you again." He said with a heartfelt smile, the dark corners of his lips upturning and green eyes shining with warmth, "I hope you've been well since we last saw each other?"

[ooc: I. Am. So. So. So. So. Sorry that this took me so long. <3 I hope we can continue with the wonderful goodness? :D Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN, BRIT! <3]
