Midnight dances were something this little shadow was very familiar with.

She moved silently, invisibly, her hide shimmering in and out of view, her magic thrumming to a rhythm her hooves defined. The wind ran its invisible fingers through her mane, her heart beat happily within her breast, quickened due to the exercise, the excitement, the happiness that fuelled her actions. Was it happiness? Times were tense, alliances were being put to the test, the stresses of leadership weighed her down, her smiles were few and far between recently - truly, all she could do was dance. For if she didn't expel her energy in some way, it would build up, and well... her name didn't end in rage for no reason.

So she danced, wild and seemingly carefree, twisting and turning through the forest that was her home, a shadow stirring up the mists and other shadows, encouraging them into motion, so that as she moved, a blur of motion, her surrounds seemed to celebrate her motion too. Akaith chortled high in the skies above her bonded, the golden scales of her hide stained a curious muted hue in the moonlight, still golden but with a strange, ethereal sheen giving her appearance almost as strange an effect as that magical cloak her bonded wore.

The little sylph which the mare's golden eyes observed brought one of those rare smile to her invisible lips. The WeyrLeader halted her motions with an easy, single step, sweeping herself into a stationary stance with the shake of her tiara, the land around her seemingly stilled too. She watched the little golden child with interest, not recognising her as one of the Edge's own brood, though the Grove had been busy blessing her herd recently with healthy births. One of whom came into sights now - a colt. His colouration were so similar to that of Tor's, she could not help but assume he was a son of her - Mirage did not know of the father, but he was built with strength behind him, a quality that many of the stallions in this herd proudly had.

Amusement allowed her to stay a silent observer, though Akaith above did warble a low dragonsong to the young duo below her, dipping her wings in an aerial dance of her own, encouraging the joyful motions to continue. Come! She insisted upon her bonded's mind, playful and energetic, unwilling to see her bonded cease her motions now. And so Mirage dropped the cloak that made her as invisible as a shadow in the dark, and sprang forth from the trees, her stride long and elegant, her tiara held with refined poise upon the end of her curled, cresty nape.

She smiled to the young ones, laughing a warm, charming laugh, before tilting her posture to invite them in more dancing, more playing - she did not want the motion to stop, for if it did, she didn't know just what exactly she would do next, with so much weighing down upon her mind.
