It was the music of the soul, the laughter that welled up within her, the warmth of her smile and the fluid movement of her bodice over the loam. With each step she defeated the darkness that attempted to swallow her up, at least, she won this battle, for now, it was kept at bay - she knew it would be impossible to win the war against it. Dancing was her release, her drug, one of the only things that seemed to dull the pull of the rage, the anger, the simmering and defiant fury that refused to ever be completely extinguished. Her father was named for his fury, her brothers displayed it more openly, she fought it always, always she forced the fury back, hid it behind the impassive façade of indifference, acted as if nothing was awry when in reality, everything was chaos. Delightful, wonderful chaos. At least with dancing she could mask this chaos into an artform, a step that could trace beauty and grace instead of destruction and doom. At least with dancing, she could share the activity with others without fear that her actions would hurt them.

Destrier joined them, and she did not falter in her step, only slowing her motions slightly and weaving a returned bow to him in her artful step, her hooves light upon the ground, her eyes brimmed with delight upon seeing his enthusiastic participation in their parade. The filly questioned her then, and a large arc was traced around her by the DragonHeart, the dark mare offered a smile along with a few quietly hummed words, words that were deep and melodic, and in rhythm with the footsteps she so delicately and purposefully took. "I am many things." Akaith fluttered down from her aerial dance above them, chortling her own reply to the little filly, sending waves of curiosity through to her bonded as to who she even was. Mirage did wonder the same, though they had many young ones running around the Edge at the moment, it was easy to accept her as yet another youth enthralled by the wonder that was their homeland. The little unicorn belle was a stunning creature, and now that her mind lingered upon it for longer, Mirage wondered where her mother was, where her family was - was she an orphan?

"I am Mirage, child, also known as DragonHeart, WeyrLeader and indeed, Queen of the World's Edge." Harmonic, exotic tones pronounced, as she brought herself to a momentary standstill before the crème filly, the mists seemingly coming to an abrupt halt around her, the moonlight giving her slim, lithe bodice an ethereal outline, as the darkness of the shadows attempted to swallow her otherwise sooty hide. She was not a large mare, not generous in stature or physique, even her age was greater than most others who roamed Helovia - save for Hellena, of course. With her visage that hinted at an Arabic curve, she extended her soft muzzle to the little flicka, hoping to grace her with a soft caress, and perhaps exchange a few breaths of familiarity with her. Any lover of the Moon was easy to consider a friend of mutual interest and belief. Akaith landed upon the loam at Mirage's forefeet, fluttering her leathery wings and peering up at the filly. "Who might you be, O great dancing princess of moonlight?" Her words were not insulting, not insinuating, not belittling nor sarcastic, they were proffered with only the most honest of inquiry, and genuine curiosity.
