what did they aim for when they missed your heart?</style>

Sometime last evening the pale princess with a heart frozen over had slipped away to the Frozen Arch, across the Steppe snow wet and cold, to the cavernous place where the tunnels twisted tighter, into the very wombs of the Arch where one could, quite easily, become hopelessly ensnared. If not for the ice walls, it would be pitch, yet as it was in the height of noon faint light filtered through the sullenly dripping walls, beads of water trickling down as the full heat of the sun centered on the glassy maze; even as it was, the lighting was not unnecessarily bright here.

Snö settled her weight upon her haunches, setting her hind to the door. At her side Tarak stood, dim amber eyes unseeing, his metallic form shaped into a wolf's body. It was a wonderfully good sculpture, and Snö often found herself admiring Ulrik for being able to create such a detailed masterpiece, and liked the gruff crafter even more for giving Tarak to her, and never attempting to take it back. It would've been a poor thing to do, take back the spoiled princess' toys; she loved her toys, and possessed them like a dragon hoarding jewels. Never would she let them go without a fight.

Why had the filly burrowed away into the labyrinth of the Arch? Simply because she wanted relaxation, to be at ease, to forgo the niceties of society and it's burden. The mare dozed, easing herself into a catnap, while the golden machine set beside her stood, frozen, tail aloft and eyes sharp. Yet as the morning had dwindled onto noon, she find herself growing bored. So she called out softly, knowing the echoes would drift afar- "Fight me!"
