With an attempt at cool politeness Kimber listened to what Ktulu had to say, though her twitching ears were a dead giveaway of her churning thoughts and emotions. It frustrated her that the other mare again and again cut at her with barbed comments about how she had not been present. Was it so terrible that Kimber had been preoccupied with tending to the egg that had held Kaiden, had been roaming the Threshold in an attempt to recuit and make the Foothills strong again, had been trying to make herself stronger with a visit to the Earth God?
