This is not a rescue attempt of Arah, it is stealth via challenge aimed for Angora. Standard challenge rules applies.

He had left the Plague meeting with a goal in mind, a purpose in his step, and as the others returned north to the comfort of the Basin, Mauja drifted south into warmer air and strengthening winds. Snow turned to slush turned to small tussocks of yellowing summer's grass underhoof, and as the time wore on, the sky lost its midnight black color in the east. Upon the broad width of the isthmus the Frostheart ground to a halt, the full moon sinking towards one horizon, but sunrise was still many hours off. The stars reigned yet, cold speckles of pulsating light so far away, and the low moon cast his crisp shadow across the cold ground in front of him. Back-lit and with the gale tugging at his long hair Mauja seemed less a mortal and more some dark ice revenant come to haunt the living and drink their warm blood.

Angora. He knew nothing of her, nothing more than her name and what she had done, but that was enough for him. The bitch had harassed them before, like a hyena snapping after prey on the outskirts of a herd, but they had driven her off — but not this time. She had found a weak spot it seemed, or had it been a moment of luck? Whatever the case, Arah had been deprived of her freedom, and the culprit needed to be put in her place, and learn where she belonged in the new world order. It was strange, that it was he, Mauja, who stood there upon the wind-whipped bridge connecting north to south, thinking these thoughts of darkness, with a smoldering fire of rage slowly stirring into life within his icy soul — gentle and kind, it was he who had soothed many worries in the past and kept the peace with the other herds, until Kri had betrayed him.

But, he thought wryly as he raised his head into the strong winds, it was as he had said at the meeting — too long since he had been useful. Too long since his mind had sunk into the pattern of war, since blood had slid down the curved, frosted length of his horn. Impassive, frigid and elegant, composed, but the longer he went without release, the more the marble cracked and revealed the beast within.

Long, ghastly tendrils of his white mane and tail lashed to and fro in the harsh weather, the bitter and cold winds doing nothing to soothe his mounting wrath. On each horizon the icy ocean lapped against snow-free shores, but he could feel the bite of winter in the air as it shoved itself against his skin. With a hunting cry, Irma spread her wings and braved the air, and with determination she rose, buffeted by the gale but not losing herself to it. On the ground below her, Mauja opened his maw wide, and roared her name into the howling winds. "ANGORA!"
