"Oh." Snö said when her father tried to explain what a mountain goat was. It certainly sounded interesting. She looked at Aurelius again and studied him, her head tilting to the side. "Are you related to a mountain goat?" Why else would he look so much like one, according to her father anyways. There had to be a reason. Maybe his mom was a mountain goat. Or his dad. That would make more sense than him just happening to look like one. But could that really happen? Her head then turned and she looked up at Mauja. "Can mountain goats and horses have babies?" She felt a desperate need to know just to sate her curiosity, but she had a sneaking suspicion that he wouldn't know for sure. Snö made up her own mind that he wouldn't know and continued in the direction she had been going before her father had found her. "C'mon!" she called to the two stallions. "I'm ready to go home." She wanted to see the home her mother had kept her from living in for the first few months of her life. She was ready to make it her permanent home and not move around from place to place anymore. Excitement sparked within the young filly and she kicked her heels up and took off at a run for the Edge's territory. |
