Better than a walk, how about a distraction?

In the silver light of the moon, a strange fellow looms. Walk walk walk. Out he walks, with a casual pace, his face holding steady and bright. You might be frightened at first, never having seen such a creature before, but do not be wary! He means you no ill.

You see, he is sort of like you. Long legs, cloven hooves, and a long, graceful neck. Look, he even has wings! They are small, though, you see and clear in the night. A strange sort of webbing that can only be seen in the light. You would probably recognize well the sort of creature which makes his main frame - a stag, brown and grey, with a noble posture. Unlike the stags you remember seeing, though, a single horn protrudes from his head, just like you, Apollo! Yes, he has a single horn that looks to be crafted from fine oak, mystical wings, and an aged looking face.

Where has he come from? Well, it is hard to really say. There are tales of this creature roaming in forests, but he seems to have strayed. Listen closely to his words, and he may explain. Forward he walks, gentle quiet steps, until he would meet with this pair, a stoic expression on his wise old face.

"Excuse me, brothers. Might I trouble you for your aid?"

Well that was forward. I wonder what he is after?
